Intro to Our Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are a diverse class of injectables all geared toward volume restoration but each achieves its end result by very different mechanisms. If you have further interest in what your potential fillers are made of and how they work, please consult your physician.
RHA, Restylane, and Juvederm product lines each contain Hyaluronic Acid, a universally occurring substance in the body. Because of it's natural presence in the body, there is no compatibility testing that is required, unlike certain other fillers containing bovine collagen.
We purposefully use HA gel based fillers for a number of reasons because they are flexible, resilient, and moldable while also being easily dissolvable. The unique nature of HA fillers allows us to consistently deliver incredibly natural appearances for our patients, a "look" that we have become known for within the southeast.
Are the results immediate?
You will appreciate that the results are immediate and visible upon leaving. With HA injections, you’ll see results immediately but the final results will be seen after 2-3 weeks as the product settles into the treatment areas and all swelling has resolved. Dr. Love sees you back in the office at that point to check on your progress and makes sure the results are what you expected.
Sculptra works gradually over a series of treatment sessions separated by 8-12 weeks. Each treatment provides a subtle improvement over the last injection by stimulating your own collagen production. This causes a gradual change that’s less startling than the immediate effects of the other product lines. Sculptra is intended for total facial volume restoration.
